Hexham Tennis Club, Prior’s Flat, Eilansgate, Hexham, NE46 3EW.

The club is behind the grounds of Tynedale Cricket Club and is reached by the entrance on Eilansgate.

Directions:

From A69 Newcastle take the first Hexham turning, travel over the bridge, carry straight on across 2 roundabouts passing Waitrose on your left. Go straight on at next mini roundabout (Tesco on right hand side) and carry on this road passing a Shell garage on the right. Carry on along the road where it will start to go up a hill with houses on left and right. Approx ½ a mile from the Shell garage you will see Eilansgate Terrace on the left and directly after turn right into a small entrance (underneath some signs for Hexham Tennis Club), where there is car parking. The tennis courts are at the far side of the grounds and are visible from the car park.

From Carlisle A69 take the first turning for Hexham West. Travel along the road passing crematorium and golf club on your left for about 1 mile. You will see a lighting outlet on your left, take the next immediate left. Travel down the road for approx ¼ of a mile where you will see a small entrance on your left hand side (underneath some signs for Hexham Tennis Club), turn in there where there is car parking. The tennis courts are at the far side of the grounds and are visible from the car park. If you have reached the Shell garage you have gone too far.
